Chris Bueno, CEO
Chris Bueno began his career in Christian television in 1979. This experience uniquely equipped him to better understand the needs and concerns of a faith-based audience. Since then, he has produced numerous projects, among them: THE INDESTRUCTIBLE BOOK, a four-hour documentary with Cambridge University Press in England, THE SCENIC WONDERS BIBLE, a 52-episode series encompassing the entire New Testament, and THE GOOD ENTERTAINMENT SHOW, hosted by Michael Medved.

In 2004, he co-founded Carmel Entertainment Group, a company specializing in distribution. As President, he was instrumental in securing distribution for numerous films and television series, among them FIREPROOF, the #1 independent feature film of 2008. Other projects include FLYWHEEL, FACING THE GIANTS, COURAGEOUS, FAITH LIKE POTATOES, NO GREATER LOVE, DEAR FRANCIS, SECRET OF THE CAVE, DRIVE THRU HISTORY, and THE LEE STROBEL DOCUMENTARY SERIES, which he also produced.

Ocean Avenue Entertainment, Inc. was established in 2009 and is owned by Chris and his wife Denise. Ocean Ave currently represents some of the very best flims in this faith-based category.

In 2012 Ocean Ave established a direct relationship with Netflix and has licensed numerous films and series including, THOU SHALT LAUGH (Series), DRIVE THRU HISTORY (Series), MIGHTY MACS, TO END ALL WARS, 23 BLAST and many more. In September 2016 IN-LAWFULLY YOURS became the first ever worldwide premier on Netflix of a faith-based movie. Recent films currently licensed on Netflix include LOVE, FAITH & HOPE and FRESHMAN YEAR.

In late 2014, Ocean Ave become a full service distribution company with its first film 23 BLAST. Since then, Ocean Ave has released numerous films on platforms ranging from Peacock TV to Amazon Prime including SEVEN DAYS IN UTOPIA, TO END ALL WARS and most recently, SMALL GROUP.

Denise Bueno, Vice President
Denise is Vice President of Ocean Avenue Entertainment who serves in acquisitions and development. Before forming Ocean Ave, Denise’s career was in acting in the Los Angeles area. She worked primarily in musical theater as a member of Actor’s Equity Association. Her time as a member of the Actor’s Co-op in Hollywood gave her the opportunity to meet and work with many other Christians working in the industry. Her leading roles include the shows Most Happy Fella, Into the Woods, Spitfire Grill, 1776, West Side Story, and the final cast of Glory of Easter (Mother Mary) at the Chrystal Cathedral.

Denise has traveled extensively in Europe, Asia and the Caribbean performing on cruise lines and in the original cast of three world premiere productions. During the years she taught theater, she became an award-winning director with the Southern California Educational Theater Association. Denise homeschools their son and is pursuing certification in conciliatory ministry.
